Wow, did I ever fail at that haha... I just looked back to my last post on here which was from August 2012 and the last thing I said was "Hopefully my next post will not take near as long to make!" well it was just a tad longer :S
Anyways to sum up my last attempt at weight loss till now here it goes:
Started doing couch to 5k, had fun loved running/jogging, learned the hard way how important stretching is by getting Achillies tendonitis. Took a break to let it heal, went away for the August long weekend with intentions to start my couch to 5k when I got back, instead even though I had a blast on our trip, I got really sick starting the last night, came home had a nap went to the hospital ended up with I.V. fluids and a whole bunch of blood tests and what not, told I had phnemonia, put on antibiodics. Week later went for follow up was doing not too bad, found out I had actually had Phenmonia, bronchittis, and plurisy. Next day was back in the hospital because I could not stop coughing, found out I still had it all! Back on antibiodics with killer side effects. By time I was 100% better and able to start running again, the weather was crappy and raining all the time! I gained back the small amount of weight I had lost and was dissipointed!
Got a new job in October as a baker at Tim Hortons, thought oh great, now I am going to put on more weight due to eating free donuts... but because of the physical work involved and seeing donuts so much you do not really want to eat them as much, I actually lost maybe 5 or so lbs!!!
So now I am 180 lbs, no where near my goal weight, want to start something! I was told by a co-worker about this HcG diet that worked for her, so I looked into it and it looked as though I would need daily injections, and my instant thoughts were "nope, forget about that". Then my neighbor came over and she has lost a lot of weight recently and I asked her how she did it... Guess what diet she did. Thats right the HcG diet, so I asked her about the injections and she told my that they do that in the USA, but in Canada you take these drops and told me where I could get them.
So the next day I went on a mission to go get these drops!
I am excited about this! I have talked to a few more people who have done it and it worked for all of them. None of them deny that it is tough, but it works!
I have done my two "fat loading" days which are phase one and now I am on the second day of Phase two the "VLCD" (very low calorie diet). I am going to try my best and update here everyday of my food diary and whatnot!
Here I am hoping for the best!!!
I will update later today my food journal from the last few days and today, but right now I have to get ready for work! Off i go to my friday!! Here I come sorta weekend haha

Sick!
I am so over being sick... it can go away now!
I just finished a second round of antibiotics the other day, because my pneumonia had yet to be gone. I am still getting side effects from the medication though which include dizziness, nausea, headaches... and so on and so forth, I also learned on like my last day of taking the medication that one of the side effects has a warning "Moxifloxacin may cause swelling or tearing of a tendon (the fiber that connects bones to muscles in the body), especially in the Achilles' tendon of the heel." this is over course absolutely what someone who is recovering from Achilles Tendonitis wants to hear. So now even when I am completely better from the pneumonia I can still have side effects from the medication for a couple of months, and so I STILL can not do my couch to 5k or really anything that may strain my Achilles tendon, because frankly I don't think that tearing my Achilles tendon sound very fun!
Oh and to make things oh so much better... I have my cough coming back, so this may just be a cold (woo... can't you sense my enthusiasm) or it could be the pneumonia making a come back, which is unappreciated, and it can go find some other person's lungs to make home!
Well about 2 weeks ago, I said that I was going to try to do a weigh in once I had the energy to do it... I finally did it just now, and I am at 179lbs, so that is a 6lbs loss YAYY! So I suppose being that sick isnt all bad, but still I dont like it! I am just happy that it isnt my just imagination making me think that I have lost weight!
I have a doctors appointment today, and we will find out if it is just a cold with bad timing or what is going on, and hopefully I can start doing something again soon... I am getting really restless sitting here doing nothing but watching Gordon Ramsay cooking videos online!
Hopefully my next post will not take near as long to make!

one month in, and not much done...
Well I know that I said I would update on the 6th or 7th, after coming home from my trip, and yes I do realize that was just over a week ago.
I had a great time on the trip, and full intentions of starting my couch to 5k when I got home. On Sunday night I felt fine, just had a little bit of a cough which I figured was from the dust being kicked up on the roads we were on.
I woke up Sunday night shivering like I had been thrown in the ice cold river that we we camping by, I had to put on another layer of clothes, and my dad even gave up his blanket for me (I also had my sleeping bag). I was sweating and shivering the whole way home, and was throwing up at one point. When I got home, I felt like crap, barely said hello to Jeff, and went straight to bed, where I fell asleep for about an hour and woke up soaked in sweat, my mom decided that I needed to go to the hospital, where they put me on IV fluids and gave me some Gravol through the IV and ran a load of tests, and treated me for Bronchitis.
The week went by real fast, considering I was throwing up all day the one day, and slept pretty much the rest of the week.
Yesterday (Tuesday), I went for a check up with my doctor, who was shocked that I had not actually been admitted into the hospital when I went in. It turns out that I did in fact have Bronchitis, along with Pneumonia, and Pleurisy. He also gave me a few more days worth of medication!
On another note... It has been just over a month since I started the blog, and I need to weigh in, which I have neglected to do while I have been sick, and I am hoping to have the energy to do it tomorrow.
I have to say, I feel better over all since I started doing the couch to 5k, and I do think that I may have lost a little weight (if not from the couch to 5k, then from being sick)
So to sum up the past month, I have started couch to 5k and went strong at it for about 2 and a half is weeks, watched my calories, gave myself Achilles Tendinitis from lack of stretching during couch to 5k, had to take a break from couch to 5k due to achilles tendinitis, and just as I could start my couch to 5k again, I am now sick with Bronchitis, Pneumonia, and Pleurisy.
Here is hoping that I get better real fast, and can start my couch to 5k over again, and that the next month goes better!!

lost track off time...
Oops... I honestly meant to post something a day or two after my last post, but totally lost track of my days!
Well I think that I am going to have to start almost all over again with my couch to 5k... I am still bearly able to bear weight on my ankle, I think I have over done it with trying to help with things around home, for instance, we are putting a roof over the deck, and so I have been painting a lot of lumber for that. Also, there is no good way to bend or squat when you have Achilles tendonitis, and it is so simple to not even think of it before you have squatted to far to pick something up!
I am really disappointed that I have been basically out of commission workout wise for just over a week now, but I am totally not willing to rupture or tear my Achilles tendon... nope don't want to go there! So my plans for 90% of this week are to rest my ankle and not continue to over do it any more.
This upcoming weekend I am going to be going on a 4x4ing trip with my dad and a couple of his friends... this should be interesting! I have been told that there may be swimming included on this trip, and possibly in some hot springs, well I love swimming (but deathly afraid of water... I know weird right) and I have never experienced hot springs but ave always wanted to... this is my #1 reason I am not being dragged on this trip against my will haha! So the swimming might help my ankle and get me back into workout mode or something! I know I am anxious to start my couch to 5k again... I actually really miss it!!!
Well that is all for now! I hope to post again before my trip, but if not, I will deffinitly be posting some photos from the trip when I get back!!

Achilles Tendinitis :-(
Well on Thursday I went to go and do my couch to 5k, and it did not go all that well... I was supposed to walk 5 minutes Jog 6 minutes, and then walk another 5 minutes, what I actually got done was walked 5 minutes, jogged a grand total of 4 and a half minutes of broken up chunks and then I walked to the car and went home, where I proceeded to keep my foot on ice almost all day! My Achilles tendon was killing me.
I had a doctors appointment on Friday, and thought I would get him to look at my ankle, and see if I can continue my couch to 5k, and see what I should be doing for the pain. My doctor confirmed that I do have Achilles tendinitis, and that until it heels completely, I am supposed to stay off of it as much as possible, and definitely no running/jogging. He showed me some stretches that I should be doing, and gave me some anti-inflammatory cream to rub into my ankle. I am slowly noticing a difference, and my ankle is slowly starting to feel better, but I am feeling really lazy, and I just want to do my couch to 5k, but now it looks like I am going to have to back track a little when I start up again!
I am determined however to find some sort of exercise that I can do to stay active well I am injured!
Well that is all there is for now! I should be updating in the next day or two.
Take Care everyone!

Ouch
I knew this was going to well! I was doing all my stuff, and keeping on track, with little to no pain, and my knee has not bothered me yet with the jogging. I guess when I thought this, I spoke to soon. It now looks like I have Achilles Tendinitis.
I first noticed last night while making dinner, that my Achilles tendon area was kind of stiff and sore, and this had never bothered me before, so naturally I did what most people do these days, finished dinner, and looked up my pain on the internet, and I have all the same symptoms of it. This sucks! So today has/will be spend resting, wrapping, elevating, and icing my foot and ankle.
I think that I will still do my couch to 5k tomorrow, but I will be paying attention, to see if my ankle really starts to hurt, and I hope that it does not, because I do not want to fall behind on this.
Other then that, just a little update on my calorie counting and junk food cut back, I know today is only my second day, but yesterday I thought I did a great job. That was until Jeff mentioned to count what I had been drinking... yeah, those three water bottle's full of ice tea/lemon aide mix equaled about 900 calories YIKES! Today I am doing better, but for some reason, really wanting a couple of glasses of my ice tea... hmm I wonder why, maybe because it is actually horrible for me haha.On the bright side though, I love dill pickles, and they are only worth 10 calories each, so I can almost pig out on them, I will just smell really garlicy/dilly after!
Well that is all for today.
Take Care!!
